Send Email to Congress: NO to Government-Run Health Care
Sign the Petition : 104,777 Letters and Emails Sent So Far
| As a member of FreedomWorks, I oppose government-run health care and the trillions of dollars in new taxes that would have to be taken from the people to pay for the legislation. I also oppose employer and individual mandates, which force citizens and businesses into making decisions based on what the state wants, and not what makes the most sense for the individual or the small businessman. Instead of crowding out the private insurers through a subsidized government option, Congress should vote for market-based reforms like allowing citizens of all states to purchase health insurance across state lines. I hope that you will vote against any government-run health care legislation, and the trillions of dollars in taxes that go with it. I am counting on you to represent me and my family. | |

Some of you, our elected officials, are aware of this, but for those of you who are not, you work for US. Not the other way around. Anyone voting for this bill will very likely replace Benedict Arnold’s picture in history books as our nations greatest traitor(s).This comment has been reported to the site manager. The tricks and schemes being used or threatened to pass this beast of a bill are obscene. If this flies, we need to fire congress and start over. They are willing to pass a bill they can't read for a health plan for everyone but them. If it's not good enough for all Americans including congress and the govt. workers including the President's family, it's not good enough to pass. Give it up and start over or be ready to be replaced election time. It is still a democracy. This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. We strongly resent the unilateral, take-no -prisoners and listen-to-no-input approach to effecting a major national policy change. Your votes will be watched. If you are NOT a leader and able to pursue policy change with balance and ear to the will of the electorate, then resign your seat while you still have a semblance of dignity left. If you vote in favor of this bill in outright rejection of the public will, and due to caving in to the strong arm tactics of your party, make no mistake, we will raise funds targeted to remove you from office this November, or in 2012, whenever your name comes up. What a disgrace that your national campaign was change...it is not change, it is worse than ever before. Be leaders and stand aside to do the right thing and construct an intelligent bill. In the meantime, know that we are watching. This comment has been reported to the site manager. It will be reviewed and removed if inappropriate. Thank you!
