Gov. Corbett recently reiterated his commitment to educational freedom at a press conference in York. The governor listed his priorities for a forthcoming legislative package as:
1) A state commission to approve charter schools.
2) Increasing the earned income tax credit program.
3) Setting up "opportunity scholarships" for low income students in poorly performing schools.
4) Implementing a new teacher evaluation system.
TAKE ACTION and send the legislature an urgent message in support of school choice -- ask them to publicly support the governor's plan and commit to passing this important legislation by the end of the fall session!
