Tell your Representatives to Cosponsor the National Right to Work Act

-- Introduced by Rep. Steve King (R-IA), the National Right to Work Act, H.R. 2040, would help to end forced unionism in America. It would repeal provisions in the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and Railroad Labor Act (RLA) which authorize the imposition of forced union dues contracts on employees. The National Right to Work Act would ensure that nobody is forced to pay dues in order to get or keep a job.

--While anyone should be free to join a union, no one should be forced to pay tribute to a union as a condition for employment. The freedom to associate necessarily also means the freedom not to associate. Union officials should not be allowed to force working Americans to pay union dues under the threat of being fired.

--Polls show that 80 percent of Americans oppose forcing employees to pay union dues as a condition of employment. The National Right to Work Act would give workers the freedom to choose whether or not to pay union dues.

--Right to work laws promote economic growth. It gives workers more freedom and employers more flexibility. The current 22 right to work states have lower unemployment rates and faster job growth than forced unionism states. These right to work states have attracted a large number of out of state businesses. A national right to work law would significantly boost economic growth in all states.

--A national right to work law is a win for workers and employers. We must end compulsory unionism by repealing compulsory due provisions in federal law.

Called Rep Schocks office and asked him to vote for the Natl Right to Work Act. Too many good businesses are being penalized by Unions, especially Boeing Corp. No Wonder businesses are leaving America under stiff penalities by the Unions. How would anyone like to be making $8.00 an hour as a restaurant worker and be paying for some of the Unions pension benefits or early retirement, Illinois is a prime example of Caterpillar building its North American plant in N. Carolina because of the business climate and Over-bearing union demands on businesses.
Took my name and address and said he would pass it on to Rep. Reyes
left a message. She took my name and address and will keep me posted on progress
Why must anyone be forced to join a union as condition of employment? My co workers are being pressured with dirty and hi pressure tactics to vote in a union. The union collects millions in dues and wants to control our profit sharing. The contract is much more restrictive than we now have. the other group in my company voted the union in 3 years ago and the majority say it's a waste, they have no contract and are moving to vote them out, proving to be difficult. Unions are just more politicians sitting back collecting fat checks
They said, Thank you for your call. We will let him know.
Sorry, I meant anyone who votes for this is mad.
No. I will NOT support this. The labor unions, while not always well executed are a good and valuable asset for employees.

I was injured on the job in Texas, a right to work state. At a manufacturing plant where OSHA standards were violated. I lost my home, my belongings, my health and my life for years trying to fight the system because I had no one to protect my rights as an employee. (It didn't help that my former attorney was also paid by my former employer's insurance company.)

No to this. And anyone who votes against it is mad.
