If a area is to be annexed then it should receive the exact same services as all other parts that it is to be annexed, I know here in Ok that Okc has a lot of area but does not service all those people who live in the city limits the same. the ones farther out do not get the same services and are charged for them anyway. Also there is so much area that it does not have the funds to take of it all so it goes mostly for the city and urban areas. Police and fire are real sparse. So if you annex make sure you will get same treatment as other areas do.

I have been a victim of annexation by Charlotte. I have no problems paying for services my community receives from the City of Charlotte, but I do not like being taxed to enrich the Charlotte Center City Partners, the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority or a whole slew of organizations that represent a cabal of downtown contractors, developers and landowners. If they limited their funding to their own constituents, they would soon fall from the weight of their corruption.
